Mercenary Legion: The Original ‘Anti-Clan’ Clan

Golden Rule: A Mercenary speaks with their weapon.

The Mercenary Legion adheres to a strict NO DRAMA policy.  Have no illusions: This is NOT a political organization, a debate team, or a psychological support group.  We the founders have spouses, kids, jobs and other such responsibilities waiting for us back in “Real Life”.  If we find one hour in our busy days to frag with our buddies and unwind, we expect to be able to do just that.  Participating in and or listening to complaints about which players hack, which clan cheats, or “who said what about who” does not count in our books as a fun use of time.

Therefore: If we feel that you are more interested in junior high-school drama and are a detriment to our enjoyment of the games – you will be invited to try another clan.

The Mercenary Legion Code of Honor

1. You cannot shoot while whining. You cannot contribute to the team while whining. When in doubt – STFU and either start shooting or jump servers.  A Mercenary speaks with their weapon. 

2. The Mercenary Legion fights with a code of honor and savors a fair victory. Only lesser men and women resort to hacks, cheats, and other crutches for their lack of ability. Brief spawn killing to punctuate a push forward on the battlefield is a sign of strength. Spawn camping is for pussies.

3. When you bring respect to yourself, you bring respect to the Legion. Therefore a Mercenary does everything they can to earn respect and recognition for both.

4. We pride ourselves on being an ‘anti-clan’ clan: no mandatory practices, no forum post requirements, etc.  As a guideline we do not participate in scrims because we have learned that 99% of the time it leads to bitching moaning from one or both teams involved. As for clan activity, if you’re on every night GREAT!  If not, catch us when you can – that’s great too!  We don't live in our mother's basements – we HAVE a life - and we hope you do too. Play when you can and we'll be happy to fight alongside you.

5. If you are in good standing, the rule is “Once a MERC, always a MERC.” You can take a leave of absence and will always be welcomed back.  Unless you are kicked - in which case, feel free to jump in a lake...

6. All members will follow the rules or they will reap the whirlwind.  We are actually VERY laid back and just want to have a fun gaming environment.

7. Impossible is not an option.

8. If you have a problem please do not make a public stink about it.  Discuss it privately in our Internal Affairs forum or you can locate Falker, WillyJ or shoot an e-mail to mercgeneral@sbcglobal.net.
